GPIO-6400

Overview

The GPIO-6400 is an expansion board which greatly simplifies the development of products in the fields of image processing,UHD 4K/8K video, wireless, RF, radar, and medicine.

Using SSDs for storage, a single GPIO-6400 is capable of recording or playing back signals of up to 800 MB/s (6.4 Gb/s) for more than ten minutes. Using a hard disk the maximum bandwidth is decreased but the recording time may be greatly extended. Other features include the ability to increase effective bandwidth using multiple devices and the easy connection to various FPGA boards.

In the field of image processing, a single GPIO-6400 board enables the playback/recording of uncompressed 4K UHD 4:2:0 (8-bit) data from the highly anticipated H.265 (HEVC) codec at 60 fps. In measurement, a single board can record I/Q data (two channels) of 16-bit ADC data at 200 MHz. Multiple boards can be used in combination to achieve even higher transfer rates for uncompressed data.
